About the position

The Flooring Technician position involves various levels of expertise, including Specialist, Senior Specialist, and Superintendent roles. The primary focus is on managing flooring projects from start to finish, ensuring quality control, effective communication, and leadership on job sites. Technicians are expected to operate equipment, apply coatings, and train staff while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a jobsite and crew for the entire project.
• Complete all tasks from pre-job to post-job unsupervised.
• Train all staff members on site.
• Communicate daily with customers, PDM, or PM.
• Review production and material rates during the project.
• Ensure quality control and safety awareness throughout the project.
• Conduct a final walk-through and punch list at the end of the project.

Requirements

• Ability to operate most pieces of flooring equipment.
• Understanding of diamond inventory.
• Ability to apply any type of coatings.
• Knowledge of each step of polishing.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Good attendance record.
• Ability to work well with others.
