Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and merchandising of floral items and arrangements for display and sale.
• Provide various customer services and respond to customer requests.
• Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills.
• Read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Multi-task, set priorities, and present information in a professional manner.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Create floral arrangements and other items to fulfill customer orders.
• Package orders effectively, safely, and efficiently.
• Maintain customer records and files properly.
• Assist customers in locating and selecting items.
• Handle telephone calls and orders promptly and courteously.
• Decorate and merchandise the department effectively.
• Keep tools, carts, and supplies organized and in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area, including floors.
• Process and prepare flower arrangements and fill balloons.
• Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation for merchandise.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws.
• Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures.
