About the position
We are seeking a creative and passionate Floral Designer to join our team at Bea's Flowers and Gifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for design and a love for flowers, with the ability to create stunning arrangements that meet our clients' needs. This role involves working closely with customers to understand their vision and bringing it to life through floral artistry, while also managing inventory and assisting with sales in a retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Create beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions, including weddings, funerals, and everyday celebrations.
- Consult with customers to understand their preferences and provide expert recommendations on floral designs.
- Be the lead designer on wedding consults - creating a proposal, ordering flowers and designing all elements.
- When required, deliver and do on-site setup of wedding florals.
- Meet with funeral families and consult on flower needs and costs for the service.
- Manage inventory of flowers and supplies, ensuring cooler is well stocked daily.
- Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the workspace.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all work is done on time and to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on current floral trends and techniques to continually improve design skills.
Requirements
- Previous experience in floral design and retail sales is required.
- Ability to recreate floral designs from photos or floral recipes as well as design from scratch to meet client's request.
- Skilled in navigating computer systems for taking/entering orders, as well as checking out customers in our shop via our POS System retail sales.
- Excellent customer service skills via phone and in person required.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects at one time, ensure timely completion and delivery of all floral designs.
