Responsibilities

  • Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customer return.
  • Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.
  • Monitor all established quality assurance standards.
  • Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.

  • Promote trust and respect among associates.
  • Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated.
  • Answer questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department.
  • Monitor and maintain sanitation to company standards and health department regulations.
  • Order and maintain stock and supplies, monitoring conditions and appearance throughout the department.
  • Merchandise and display products to increase sales.
  • Implement price changes and monitor scan integrity.
  • Monitor product quality and remove poor quality products.
  • Control and monitor inventory throughout the department and maintain FTD records.
  • Communicate with vendors and monitor inventory received.
  • Implement all company programs as directed and communicate purpose, objectives, and procedures to team members.
  • Review display planners and implement according to company guidelines.
  • Prepare and hang signs as needed.
  • Prepare for and perform inventory.
  • Attend required classes and meetings.
  • Review department statements and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Communicate information to upper management and store personnel.
  • Review department bulletins and implement all company programs.
  • Complete required forms.
  • Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
  • Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying appropriate management of any repair needs.
  • Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
  • Report all safety risks or issues, including robbery, theft, or fraud.

Requirements

  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Retail experience.
  • Second language: speaking, reading, and/or writing.
