About the position

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for selling and promoting specialty and craft spirit brands primarily in the CFL markets, with some involvement in the SFL market. This role requires experience in account management and sales within the beverage industry, focusing on both on and off-premise accounts. The Area Sales Manager will work independently and collaboratively with distributor sales teams and brand ambassadors to achieve sales goals and enhance brand visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 6 to 8 sales calls a day to current and new key account relationships for both on and off premise.
  • Achieve sales goals and execute brand standards as defined in key accounts.
  • Conduct brand training, samplings, or seminars with key accounts.
  • Attend and execute on-premise activations, spending 2-4 evenings a week doing so.
  • Coordinate brand ambassador efforts to accomplish market goals.
  • Coordinate sampling and promotional agencies to achieve market goals.
  • Attend distributor General Sales Meetings to present brand initiatives.
  • Interact and coordinate sales efforts with front line distributor sales management and key sales representatives.
  • Conduct brand training sessions with distributor personnel.
  • Manage samples with assigned distributor.
  • Report weekly and monthly on new accounts visited and achievements using CRM program.
  • Complete monthly expense reporting and review.
  • Review weekly/monthly KPIs on market achievements.

Requirements

  • Experience in selling non-commodity specialty and craft spirit brands in the on and off trade.
  • Ability to work independently and alongside distributor sales and management.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with key accounts.
  • Experience in conducting brand training and promotional activities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM programs, preferably Replsy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the beverage industry, particularly with spirits.
  • Familiarity with market activation strategies.
  • Previous experience in a sales management role.
