About the position

The Florida Market Territory Manager will oversee the sales activities of Norsan Media within the designated market. Reporting to the VP of Sales, this role involves managing staff, developing sales strategies, and fostering relationships with local businesses to drive revenue growth. The manager will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring sales personnel, ensuring adherence to company standards, and collaborating with other departments to support overall departmental growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage staff, work schedules, and delegate tasks on a daily basis.
  • Review team performance data regularly to assess progress.
  • Cultivate relationships with non-traditional sponsors and businesses to create underwriting and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Ensure employees uphold Norsan Media's sales standards and work with integrity.
  • Clearly communicate performance expectations and maintain a motivated staff through performance management processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support sales growth.
  • Plan and execute sales meetings, community events, and represent the station at trade association meetings.
  • Work with the VP of Sales on monthly and annual sales objectives for the sales team.
  • Spend significant time in the field with individual accounts and traveling with sales personnel.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain sales talent to build a future pipeline.
  • Coach and mentor Solution Consultants in the field, identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Hold regular sales and marketing meetings to train and evaluate progress.
  • Participate in business and community associations to develop relationships with local influencers and decision-makers.
  • Maintain the overall revenue growth plan for the market and requisite reporting.
  • Drive results through the sales team and hold them accountable to expectations.
  • Act as the primary contact for all sales-related issues in the market for the Solutions Consultants.

Requirements

  • Strong negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in sales analysis and market strategies.
  • Experience in outside sales and B2B sales.
  • Ability to manage accounts and develop new business opportunities.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and technical sales.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Demonstrated success in business development and marketing.
  • Proficiency in technology sales and utilizing Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Any relevant sales or marketing certifications would be beneficial.
