The Public Relations (PR) role plays a crucial part in supporting the mission and vision in several ways: Building Reputation and Trust, promoting innovation and expertise, and crisis management. PR professionals at Cleveland Clinic help enhance the organization's reputation by effectively communicating its achievements, patient success stories, and medical breakthroughs. This aligns with the mission of ensuring transparency and accountability even in challenging situations. A caregiver in this position works 8:00am—5:00pm. A caregiver who excels in this role will align internal stakeholders and media needs to promote new programs, facilities, services, and other activities for the Florida region, including executive positioning and industry outreach. They will develop, direct, and monitor strategic external communications strategies that positively affect caregivers' and consumers' understanding, engagement, and commitment with and connection to the Cleveland Clinic Florida region. They will supervise all aspects of external communications including budget, contractors and vendors, workflow, and dissemination of information to Cleveland Clinic Florida media outlets and stakeholders. Utilizing analytics to improve offerings and optimize response and evaluate ROI for all initiatives is also a key responsibility. The role requires developing and monitoring quality metrics for established corporate communications strategies, determining projects which should be completed internally and externally, and managing relationships with outside vendors as necessary. The caregiver will drive continual process improvements and implement best practices to manage projects efficiently, collaborating closely with managers in marketing and business development, center administrators and directors, physicians, and service line leaders across the Florida region. They will work closely with Florida administration and Ohio corporate communications team members on local and state issues that impact the industry and the organization. Handling corporate crisis management activities, in collaboration with Ohio corporate communications team, Florida leadership, and the Florida communications team, is also part of the role. This includes serving as part of the communications team for emergency operations management. The caregiver will develop, write, and research press materials, news releases, media advisories, pitch letters, and press kits for local, national, and international media. They will provide media training to physicians, staff, and others to prepare them for interviews and ensure integration of core institute/business unit messages. Coordinating news conferences and helping with other extraordinary events, as well as serving as communications contact for Cleveland Clinic Weston President, are also key aspects of the role. This includes developing talking points for events, communications for caregivers and stakeholders, and other communication channels as needed. The caregiver will oversee the development and management of website content.
