About The Position

The Flour Mill Packaging position at Producers Rice Mill, Inc. involves the production and packaging of flour and crisp rice. The role requires adherence to food safety and quality regulations, as well as the maintenance of equipment and work areas. Employees may also operate forklifts and are expected to perform preventative maintenance on machinery. This position is available in two shifts, with overtime and weekend work as needed.

Requirements

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to climb up to 25 feet using catwalks and ladders.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. a distance of 15 ft.
• Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, turn, push, and pull throughout the day as needed.
• Ability to work in extreme hot and cold temperatures for extended periods of time.
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work unsupervised and with others.
• Willingness to work extended shifts and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce and package flour and crisp rice.
• Operate forklifts or telescoping forklifts as required.
• Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Follow food safety, legal, quality, and process control policies and regulations.
• Maintain required company forms and records.
• Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the lead operator or management.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
