About the position

The Program Integrator at SMX is responsible for providing expertise in program management, particularly in alignment with DoDI 5000 series Acquisition instructions. This role involves supporting senior decision-makers in the development and management of acquisition strategies, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the effective delivery of weapon systems. The position requires strong writing skills and the ability to create technical documents and presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, advise, and review acquisition strategies, plans, and schedules to meet program objectives.
  • Coordinate and consolidate inputs from integrated product team members for program recommendations and reviews.
  • Document integrated product team meetings addressing programmatic, engineering, logistical, or contractual issues.
  • Prepare and staff program decision documents at senior Army Staff levels.
  • Develop and update briefings, point papers, and other required documentation.
  • Assist in creating aviation-related technical documents for operators and system maintainers.
  • Create technical publications and change packages from vendor source data.
  • Use various media to enhance understanding of documentation for the intended audience.
  • Standardize content across all platforms and media.
  • Gather usability feedback from customers and stakeholders.
  • Perform QA review of documents written by peers.
  • Ensure documentation is stored in a document repository under version control.
  • Participate in workgroups and organizational meetings.
  • Assist in creating programmatic and source selection documentation.
  • Review and create Contract Requirement Packages and Requests for Information (RFIs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of relevant experience or a high school diploma with 12-15 years of experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of DoDI 5000 series Acquisition Instructions.
  • Strong collaboration skills.
  • Ability to telework effectively within the Redstone Arsenal, Alabama area.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of program integration experience in Army Aviation Acquisition Program Office.
  • DAU Program Management Level II certification.
  • Expertise in DoDI 5000.02.
  • Knowledge of US Army staffing processes and procedures.
  • Experience with Integrated Master Schedule applications.
