About the position

The Fluid Systems Design Engineer role at GE Vernova focuses on designing sustainable products and systems for next-generation power plants, particularly those utilizing hydrogen fuels. This position emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within a cross-functional team environment, contributing to the company's mission of electrifying and decarbonizing the world.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in GE Vernova's mission of leading the energy transition to electrify and decarbonize the world.
  • Design sustainable products and accessories for next-generation power plants running on increasing levels of hydrogen fuels.
  • Layout components and systems that are auxiliaries to the main Gas Turbine product, including piping, valves, tubes, fluid delivery and removal, pumps, and actuators.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, supply chain, project management, and various other cross-functional teams.
  • Develop LEAN continuous improvement and problem-solving skills through training and application to daily work.
  • Innovate product offerings, processes, and tools to enhance customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Process, Chemical, or Aeronautical engineering.
  • A first experience in Mechanical & Fluids engineering and/or quality in Power, Aeronautics, Chemical or Automotive industry.
  • Lean and Quality oriented culture.
  • Great English language skills, both oral and written communication.

Nice-to-haves

  • Passion for sustainability and understanding of decarbonization opportunities in the gas turbine combined cycle space.
  • Experience with mechanical, processes, thermal and fluid flow analysis tools.
  • Experience with 3D models, Schematics/Diagrams for representing fluid systems.
  • Data-driven engineer with analytical skills focused on Safety and Quality.
  • Ability to break large, complex problems into achievable timelines with individual deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
