About the position

The FMCSA National Registry Administrative Assistant position at New Editions Consulting, Inc. involves providing administrative and technical support to medical providers using a database system. This role is essential for ensuring efficient helpdesk operations and maintaining high-quality customer service for a federal government client. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting medical providers with technical issues relating to the database.
  • Verifying medical provider credentials to certify new users.
  • Organizing and prioritizing a large volume of support tickets, emails, and calls in a helpdesk environment.
  • Troubleshooting technical and IT-related issues, understanding when issues need to be escalated, and doing so appropriately.
  • Working in cooperation with other staff members to ensure coverage of all tasks, providing seamless customer service to users and the client.
  • Preparing daily reports and providing other information to the client as needed.
  • Maintaining Excel workbooks, tracking information on a daily basis.
  • Participating in team and client meetings as needed.
  • Assisting with Jira system tickets as needed.

  • Customer service experience
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to think critically and problem-solve
  • Detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated, working successfully with minimal supervision
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to manage competing priorities successfully
  • Collaborates well in a team environment
  • Comfortable in a fluid environment; easily managing shifting priorities
  • Able to take constructive feedback and implement it
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor's Degree required
