About the position

The FOH Manager/Bar Manager at Yellow Springs Smokehouse is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a new chef-driven BBQ concept. This role focuses on ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of service and quality, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in restaurant management and bartending, with skills in team leadership and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
• Supervise and train staff, including bartenders and servers, to uphold service standards.
• Assist in shift management to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
• Develop training programs for new hires and ongoing staff development.
• Oversee food preparation and presentation to meet quality standards.
• Coordinate catering services as needed for special events or large parties.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service and communication.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with budgeting to control costs effectively.
• Foster a positive team environment through effective team management and communication.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a restaurant management role or as an Assistant Manager.
• Strong bartending skills are a plus, with knowledge of various beverages and cocktails.
• Experience in shift management, demonstrating the ability to lead a team effectively.
• Familiarity with food preparation processes and catering services is desirable.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong budgeting skills to help maintain financial health within the front-of-house operations.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
