About the position

The Food & Beverage Coordinator at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of food and beverage outlets, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the establishment. This position is integral to shaping the client experience by providing exceptional service and supporting the Food & Beverage Management team in various operational tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and respond to incoming telephone calls and emails in accordance with Four Seasons Standards.
  • Type correspondence, reports, and memorandums; manage incoming mail and gather necessary information for responses.
  • Maintain files, schedules, and calendars for management members of the Food & Beverage Division.
  • Assist in completing special projects including mailings, competitive surveys, and menu preparations.
  • Maintain and order office supplies, and update policy and standard manuals as necessary.
  • Support the Food & Beverage Management team in sourcing products, creating vendors and purchase orders, and tracking deliveries.
  • Assist with local printing such as buffet labels, recipes, and special event menus.
  • Take reservations for special events and ensure compliance with Four Seasons' Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in Food & Beverage operations, preferably in a coordinator role or related position.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of UniFocus, ADP, and Open Table systems.
