About the position

The Food and Beverage Manager supervises daily operations at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa, ensuring compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards, and procedures. This role is responsible for managing the quality of service, maintaining the operating budget, and meeting customer expectations while fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises daily Food and Beverage (F&B) shift operation and monitors compliance with all F&B policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Manages day-to-day operations verifying that quality standards are met and customer expectations are fulfilled.
  • Maintains the operating budget and ensures compliance with legal obligations.
  • Assists in ordering F&B supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms.
  • Supports and supervises an effective monthly self-inspection program.
  • Monitors staffing levels to meet guest service and operational needs.
  • Encourages mutual trust and cooperation among team members.
  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize and organize work.
  • Monitors and maintains employee productivity levels.
  • Communicates areas needing attention to staff and follows up to ensure understanding.
  • Coordinates cleaning programs in all F&B areas and identifies trends for improvement.
  • Creates a property environment that emphasizes motivation and teamwork.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
  • OR a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 2 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
