About the position

As a Purchasing Manager at Levy, you will play a crucial role in overseeing purchasing, warehousing, and inventory management activities at M&T Bank Stadium. Your responsibilities will include implementing best practices in supply chain management, driving process improvements, and leading the location purchasing teams to ensure operational excellence. You will maintain the highest standards of quality across all areas, ensuring that the venue meets the expectations of guests and partners alike. In this position, you will be expected to understand all menus, product offerings, packaging, and pricing thoroughly. Establishing rapport with team members, management, and partners is essential, as is employing good safety and sanitation practices. You will practice proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment, achieving daily sales and assigned cost goals while contributing to the completion of required department reports and assisting in compiling information at month-end closing. Your role will also involve ensuring that all security, safety, and sanitation standards are met, monitoring inventory procedures for accountability, and using performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to your team. You will promote a cooperative work climate that maximizes productivity and morale, and you will be responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, and developing team members according to Levy guidelines. A positive attitude towards team members is crucial, as is the ability to adapt to other responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains 'show quality' of all areas at all times

  • Ensures team members adhere to Levy Company guidelines as stated in the team member training manual and employee handbook
  • Ensures that all security, safety and sanitation standards are achieved
  • Ensures all products are properly stored, rotated and dated in accordance with the Levy guidelines
  • Monitors inventory procedures for accountability
  • Uses all performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team
  • Promotes a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale
  • Interviews, hires, trains and develops team members according to Levy guidelines
  • Displays a positive attitude towards team members
  • Other responsibilities, as needed

Requirements

  • Experience in Supply Chain or Purchasing
  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Hospitality or similar is preferred
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Curiosity for new technology and industry trends
