About the position

The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for assisting management in the direction and administration of the restaurant within the hotel. This role emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and adherence to company standards while providing exceptional service to guests. The supervisor will engage in internal growth programs and ensure compliance with health and safety standards, all while fostering a positive work environment that reflects the company's culture of inclusivity and community involvement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist management in the direction and administration of the restaurant within the hotel.
  • Provide personalized, friendly service to each and every guest.
  • Supervise, support, schedule, and assign daily work to team members.
  • Train team members in all restaurant activities and operations.
  • Monitor, observe, and assist in evaluating team member performance.
  • Support team members in handling guest inquiries and requests and in resolving guest complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards.
  • Supervise and monitor product quality and service satisfaction trends.
  • Evaluate trends, address issues, and make improvements accordingly.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory and inventory control.

Requirements

  • Must keep confidential business functions of the company including financial status and customer information.
  • Knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures is required.
  • Dependable transportation must be available.
  • Effective communication skills in writing, verbally, and in person are necessary.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Organizational skills and an outgoing personality are essential.
  • Maintain a clean and attractive work area and uniform.
  • Demonstrate integrity and humility, living by the Golden Rule.
  • Ability to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service.
