About the position

The Food-as-Medicine (FAM) Program Manager at Highmark Health will play a crucial role in developing and managing programs that enhance nutrition security for communities, particularly for individuals with diet-related chronic conditions. This position is part of the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) department and involves collaboration with various internal departments and external stakeholders to implement and evaluate FAM programs aimed at improving access to nutritious food and overall health outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble project teams and work groups to achieve program objectives.
  • Lead project managers in developing and maintaining comprehensive plans for corporate programs.
  • Organize and coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Work with executive sponsors and management to meet program objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress and financial health of projects within the program.
  • Report to the executive team on program progress and business impacts.
  • Assess risks to program success and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage vendor responsibilities as outlined in contracts.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of work experience in project management or delivering business solutions using information technology.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and measuring FAM programs in collaboration with health provider or payer systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master of Public Health (MPH) degree.
  • Registered Dietician/Registered Dietician Nutritionist (RD/RDN) certification.
  • Experience in designing and measuring programs based on best practices.
