About the position

Kings Gate Golf Club is excited to announce an exceptional career opportunity for the position of Food & Beverage Director. This role is pivotal in ensuring excellence in products, services, cost controls, and sales across all areas of the Food & Beverage operation, including the kitchen, dining room, banquet areas, patio, and lounge. The club, known for its picturesque 18-hole golf course and newly renovated dining establishment called the Lion's Den, offers a variety of dining options including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with engaging community events. The Food & Beverage Director will play a crucial role in managing the club's food and beverage services, which include hosting wedding ceremonies, corporate holiday parties, class reunions, and anniversary celebrations in banquet facilities that can accommodate up to 300 guests. In this role, the Food & Beverage Director will be responsible for hiring, training, directing, and supervising F&B employees. They will establish and maintain a comprehensive F&B Manual that reflects service standards, food quality production, portion control, and cost control, all while adhering to State Health Department Codes. The Director will also be tasked with maintaining cleanliness and organization in all F&B areas, completing opening and closing checklists, and preparing weekly employee schedules along with bi-weekly payroll summaries for the General Manager. Additionally, they will promote, organize, and service F&B activities, attend weekly department meetings, and manage daily operations to ensure efficiency and safety throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will possess a culinary or hospitality degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education that demonstrates comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $60,000 per year, plus commissions and bonus potential, along with a full health care benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off. Responsibilities

  • Provide excellence in products, services, cost controls, and sales in all areas of the Food & Beverage Operation.
  • Hire, train, direct, and supervise F&B employees.
  • Establish and maintain a Food & Beverage Manual reflecting service standards, food quality production, portion control, and cost control.
  • Maintain beverage procurement guidelines and observe responsible alcohol beverage service to protect from liability.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization in all F&B areas.
  • Complete opening and closing checklists.
  • Prepare and submit weekly employee schedules and bi-weekly payroll summaries to the GM.
  • Adjust actual schedules to ensure efficient use of employees.
  • Promote, organize, and service F&B activities.
  • Attend and participate in weekly department and other periodic employee meetings.
  • Plan, organize, and manage daily activity.
  • Manage and monitor daily accurate activity and financial requirements, ordering of products, stock levels, and monthly inventory.
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs to ensure the facility is safe and presentable and that courtesy and efficiency are being exercised throughout.
  • Protect the assets of the Club.
  • Operate within the guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints established by Hampton Golf.
  • Maintain Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Culinary or hospitality degree OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
