About the position

The position involves managing service aspects in all food and beverage assigned areas and events. Responsibilities include overseeing the dining room, café, pools, bar, and events to ensure proper room preparation, including the setup of tables, chairs, linens, and glassware. The role requires confirming that all service staff is in proper uniform and adheres to appearance standards, as well as managing and training staff in both technical and non-technical aspects of their roles, including standards of quality and service. Communication with service and kitchen staff regarding reservations and special events is essential, along with conducting pre-shift, pre-meal, and pre-event meetings with necessary staff. The position also involves evaluating and supervising staff performance, making rounds of food and beverage outlets to ensure guest needs are met, and managing the opening and closing of bars, cafes, restaurants, and pools. Additionally, the role includes maintaining accurate daily and weekly punch details for service staff, maximizing food and beverage sales through marketing and training, and ensuring safety and sanitation policies are adhered to. Guest satisfaction is a priority, requiring the handling of inquiries and feedback to implement service improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and supervise the performance and carry out disciplinary action as needed.
  • Make rounds of all food and beverage outlets to ensure guest needs are met.
  • Open and close bars, cafes, restaurants, and/or pools on a regular basis.
  • Maintain accurate daily and weekly punch details for service staff.
  • Maximize food and beverage sales by identifying and targeting sales opportunities.
  • Protect staff and guests by training staff in safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies.
  • Maintain guest satisfaction by handling inquiries, concerns or comments and providing solutions.
  • Communicate and team well with other departments.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience required.
  • A minimum of 4 years in food and beverage industry required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of management or supervisory role, preferably in an F&B establishment.
  • Experience in resolving customer issues/complaints as well as overall excellent customer service required.
  • Proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Solid time management, organization and prioritization skills.
  • Proven ability to effectively build and foster a team environment.
  • Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be of legal age to service alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally with others.
  • Ability to work with all personality types even in adverse situations.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
