About the position

The Food & Beverage Manager at Round One Entertainment is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations at the Elizabeth, NJ location. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer experiences while managing staff, finances, and inventory. The manager aims to maximize sales, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement through effective leadership and operational management.

Responsibilities

• Manage all food and beverage operations within budgeted guidelines.
• Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
• Test cooked food for palatability and flavor conformity.
• Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, verifying product quality and quantity.
• Monitor department budgets and payroll records, ensuring authorized expenditures.
• Schedule staff hours and assign duties effectively.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding food quality and service.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Lead the F&B team by recruiting, training, and appraising personnel.
• Provide superior customer service by being visible and accessible to customers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Solid communication skills and strong critical thinking abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a high-volume food and beverage environment.
• Knowledge of alcohol serving regulations.
