About the position

As a member of the Food & Beverage Management Team, this position is responsible for the supervision and daily operations of the Club's a la carte member dining outlets. F&B Supervisor should seek to provide the highest standards of service to members and their guests.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipates needs and wants, being prepared, being continuously enthusiastic, executing flawlessly and doing it now.
  • Serves as a helpful asset for all aspects of the operation, fills in gaps where needed, acting as a visible leader in all dining outlets including: The Bistro (family dining), The Lounge Bar and Dining Room (adult dining), Barracuda, Breezes and other outlets as needed.
  • Work closely with all Food & Beverage supervisors to provide appropriate leadership, direction, supervision, and guidance to staff in accordance with Briar Club culture to promote positive employee morale and performance quality.
  • Understands the fundamentals of service, timeliness of delivery and product knowledge of all food and beverage items offered in all member dining outlets.
  • Maintains knowledge of Point of Sale system for the purposes operating the system and training employees.
  • Conducts and/or participates in daily line up meetings with staff.
  • Acts as a liaison to between dining and kitchen staff.
  • Maintains the overall high service standards of the Club.
  • Conducts and participates in regular training sessions for year-round staff, as well as the onboarding and training of seasonal poolside staff as needed.
  • Works with supervisor to determine hire needs and train dining staff.
  • Ensures closing and opening procedures are being followed by completing daily opening and closing checklists.
  • Participates in monthly beverage inventory.
  • Writes weekly schedule for dining staff.
  • With input from the supervisor and Human Resources, disciplines employees as needed.
  • Adheres to all written mandatory standards of operation, policies, procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • TABC and Food Handler Certification
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Well-organized with ability effectively manage service
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.
  • Must possess honesty and integrity
  • Must be courteous and tactful at all times
  • Must treat others with kindness and respect
  • Ability to appear for work on time
  • Ability to interact well with co workers
  • Ability to understand and follow posted rules and procedures
  • Ability to follow directions from a supervisor
  • Ability to effectively communicate to members, guests and staff
  • Ability to be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice-to-haves

  • Hospitality Degree preferred
  • Experience with POS systems and programming
  • High-touch, highly visible, members-first attitude

Benefits
