About The Position
As a Food & Beverage Team Leader at Target, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a fresh, full, and food-safe shopping experience every day. This position is not just about managing food and beverage operations; it’s about leading a team to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards of quality and safety. You will be responsible for overseeing the Food & Beverage team, ensuring that products are fresh, in stock, and accurately priced. Your leadership will help create a guest-first culture, where team members are motivated to provide outstanding service and support to our customers. In this role, you will be expected to understand and execute on sales goals, planning and executing daily and weekly workloads to meet department and store objectives. You will lead your team in maintaining a clean and safe environment, adhering to food safety standards, and ensuring that all areas are well-stocked and presented. Your responsibilities will include assessing backroom and sales floor areas, identifying priorities, and developing business plans to enhance operational efficiency. You will also be responsible for training and developing your team, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed. The Food & Beverage Team Leader position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. You will need to establish strong relationships with vendors and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Your role will also involve participating in team onboarding and continuous learning, helping to close knowledge gaps and foster a culture of growth and development within your team. This is a dynamic position that requires flexibility, as you will be working various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, to meet the needs of our guests and the business.
