About the position
The Asst. Night Operations Team Lead at Bashas' Supermarkets is responsible for supporting the Night Operations Team Lead in executing various tasks to ensure a positive customer shopping experience. This role involves overseeing night crew personnel, managing inventory, and maintaining store standards for product presentation and availability.
Responsibilities
- Directing night crew personnel to meet service level and merchandising goals.
- Communicating with the store team lead and merchandising manager.
- Ordering products necessary to maintain adequate stock levels in various departments.
- Stocking and merchandising products according to sales and merchandising standards.
- Unloading trailers, receiving merchandise, and auditing received products.
- Maintaining clean and orderly work areas and warehouses.
- Rotating dated perishable products to ensure quality and safety.
Requirements
- Experience in a grocery store environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and management.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a retail environment.
- Knowledge of grocery store operations and merchandising standards.
