About the position

The Food and Beverage Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations of an exclusive airport lounge at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). This role involves managing a team of hourly employees, ensuring high-quality food and beverage service, and maintaining compliance with Sodexo and airline client standards. The manager will be responsible for labor cost management, scheduling, inventory, training, and financial reporting, while also fostering strong guest relations and client interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily food operations and ensure high-quality product delivery.
  • Achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
  • Develop and maintain client and customer relationships.
  • Motivate, coach, mentor, and develop frontline staff.
  • Ensure compliance with Sodexo standards, including food and physical safety programs.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of management experience.
  • 1 year of work experience in food or culinary services.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in fine-dining or elevated service level environments.
  • Knowledge of automated food inventory and management systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
