About the position

The Food Packaging Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating innovative and visually appealing packaging designs for food products. This role involves collaboration with various departments to enhance the company's brand identity and ensure compliance with industry standards. The designer will utilize their expertise in graphic design to develop packaging concepts, mockups, and prototypes, while also addressing production challenges and ensuring design accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Graphic Designer, Marketing and Business Development Departments, and manufacturing segments.
• Develop innovative and aesthetically pleasing packaging designs for a variety of food products.
• Create packaging concepts, mockups, and prototypes for review and approval.
• Create branded graphics, including labels and packaging designs.
• Work closely with marketing and product teams to understand product requirements, target audience, and market trends.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure design feasibility and adherence to manufacturing processes.
• Craft compelling company logos, letterheads, brochures, presentations, promotional materials, and website elements.
• Ensure all packaging designs comply with relevant food safety regulations, labeling requirements, and industry standards.
• Review and approve final packaging proofs before production to ensure design accuracy and quality.
• Address any design issues that arise during the production process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field.
• 3+ years of working experience within the field.
• Proven experience in food packaging design, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant work.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other design software.
• Knowledge of packaging materials, printing processes, and design for manufacturability.
• Strong understanding of branding, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with food industry regulations and packaging standards
• Food photography and/or videography
• Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese
