About the position

If talking f-stops and layer masks is your idea of a good time, let's chat. We're looking for a photo Jedi that can help capture, organize and distribute industry-leading food photography for use across all major marketing channels. Both in-studio and on-location, the ideal candidate is competent of organizing and distributing assets, post-shoot.

Responsibilities

  • Photographing high-quality food, recipe and grocery product for use across all major marketing channels (print, digital, social, etc.)
  • Organize all digital assets to ensure ease of use (file naming, meta tags, server structure, etc.)
  • Shoot planning & production (prioritize shoots, managing props, securing locations, talent, contracts, etc.)
  • Master of industry-standard photography equipment and tools (cameras, lenses, lights, stands, Adobe Creative Suite, MacOS Mojave, DAMs, etc.)
  • Effectively and efficiently shepherd an assignment from concept to final image
  • An active listener and enthusiastic collaborator
  • High photographic standards and a sincere willingness to help educate key business partners on best practices and techniques
  • Food styling, if included in job description

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in photography
  • 10 years working as a proven food, recipes and product photographer
  • Comfortable using various photographic gear and software
  • Solid understanding of natural and artificial lighting and their effects
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Food styling experience a plus
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other industry-standard photo production tools running in MacOS Mojave
  • Experience creating content for social media is preferred (will work with the social and creative teams on overall strategy)
  • Proven experience producing content for large format
  • Comfortable taking creative direction
  • An awesome outlook and contagious attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly adaptable and able to quickly switch gears as any assignment may require
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Digital Asset Management experience a plus
  • Nutrition knowledge/passion a plus
  • Possesses excellent customer service skills and ability to develop and elevate others
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Experience working with MS Office and Content Management System (CMS)
  • This position requires 10% travel
