About the position

The Food Production Manager 2 at Sodexo will oversee food production operations at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA. This role involves collaborating with the Executive Chef and managing a team of culinary professionals and food service workers to ensure high-quality food service for patients and retail operations. The manager will also be responsible for training staff, monitoring food safety standards, and maintaining a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Executive Chef and Operations Manager on action stations, catering, retail, and patient services.
  • Collaborate with the Patient Services Manager on clinical improvements.
  • Train frontline staff and the production team.
  • Oversee the Production team to ensure quality, portion control, and food temperatures for retail and patient services.
  • Monitor HACCP logs and cleaning schedules.
  • Conduct food and safety audits.
  • Ensure all Sodexo standards are met.

Requirements

  • Strong culinary background.
  • ServSafe Certified/Allergen Certification preferred.
  • Catering experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with inventory and ordering.
  • Ability to facilitate open communication and create a supportive work environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities.
