About the position

The Food Production Manager is a leadership role within a fast-growing food manufacturing company in Utah. This position requires a motivated individual who enjoys working closely with team members in a dynamic environment. The manager will oversee production operations, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards while fostering a positive team atmosphere. This is an active management position that involves hands-on training and direct interaction with staff.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure SOPs, including quality and safety standards, are met.
  • Cross-train or re-train existing staff on necessary skills.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and upper management.
  • Supervise staff according to operational standards and company policies.
  • Follow a daily plan/schedule provided by upper management.
  • Re-arrange staff throughout the day to cover breaks, lunches, and call-outs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety during shifts.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members as needed.
  • Implement new systems as approved by upper management.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Experience in food production management or restaurant management.
  • Strong leadership skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a food-related field is a plus.
