About the position

The Food Production Manager is a leadership role within a fast-growing food manufacturing company in Utah. This position requires a motivated individual who enjoys working closely with team members in a hands-on environment, ensuring that operational standards, quality, and safety protocols are met. The role involves active management, training, and effective communication with staff and upper management, making it essential for candidates to have prior leadership experience, preferably in a food-related field.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside employees to ensure SOPs (including quality & safety standards) are being met.
• Circling through existing staff to cross-train (or re-train) on skills.
• Effective communication with the staff as well as upper management.
• Supervising staff in accordance with the operational standards, procedures, and policies outlined in the company Handbook.
• Following a daily plan/schedule provided by upper management.
• Effectively re-arranging staff throughout the day to cover breaks, lunches, and/or call-outs.
• Maintaining cleanliness & safety during the shift.
• Assisting with hiring, onboarding & training new team members as needed.
• Implementing new systems as approved by upper management.

Requirements

• Past leadership experience is required.
• Experience in a food-related field is a plus.
• Bilingual (English-Spanish) is preferred but not required.
