We are a local, family-owned business that has been manufacturing fishcake (kamaboko!) and sharing seafood with your families since 1946. The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all activities related to the production of our products. We are looking for a process-oriented individual who will work alongside our production manager to become a subject matter expert of all our products, manufacturing processes, and machinery. The ideal candidate will manage daily production to ensure quality, consistency, and safety, while also coordinating the weekly production schedule based on forecasted sales and inventory. This role involves leading and developing a team of approximately 11 line workers and overseeing the inventory of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies. Additionally, the Production Manager must understand and maintain compliance with food safety standards, including Seafood HACCP, GMP, and sanitation protocols. The position also requires assisting with the hiring and training of new employees, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and implementing effective solutions. A key aspect of this role is the ability to set up, operate, break down, and troubleshoot various food production equipment, including a Silent Cutter, Forming Machine, Steamer, Fryer, Thermoforming Packaging Machine, Slicer, and Metal Detector.
