About the position
The Food Runner plays a crucial role in the dining experience by supporting servers in delivering food and beverages to guests. This position requires effective communication with the serving staff, ensuring timely service, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area. The Food Runner is essential for facilitating a smooth dining experience and assisting with closing duties after service.
Responsibilities
- Bring dishes to appropriate guests
- Ensure guests have appropriate utensils for each dish
- Maintain par levels of utensils and condiments
- Maintain current and accurate knowledge of the menu
- Assist expo in managing completion of tickets
- Maintain constant knowledge of each table's progress in the sequence of service
- Perform side-work as needed
Requirements
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in verbal and written English with guests, management, and co-workers
- Prioritize and organize work assignments with timely follow-up and execution
- Superb time management skills
- Complete knowledge of all hotel services/features and hours of operation
- Ability to comply with physical demands as outlined
- Knowledge and understanding of HRI Culture & initiatives
- Flexible work schedule availability
- Availability on weekends and holidays
