About the position
The Food Sales Demonstrator position at IHSS, Inc. (Charboy's) involves engaging with customers to promote and sample high-quality food products. This part-time, contract role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for food, as demonstrators will be responsible for creating memorable customer experiences that drive sales and brand loyalty in a retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers directly to provide product samples and showcase product benefits.
- Create a welcoming environment that encourages customers to sample and learn about products.
- Prepare and present food samples according to company guidelines and health and safety standards.
- Communicate key selling points and promotions to increase product sales.
- Monitor and manage product inventory levels to ensure availability throughout the demonstration period.
- Submit daily sales and feedback reports to management, capturing customer responses and sales trends.
- Follow all local and company food safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food demonstrations, retail sales, or customer service.
- Valid driver's license without restrictions.
- Food safety and/or food sanitation license.
- Ability to rapidly adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
Nice-to-haves
- Culinary experience
- College education or highly experienced in culinary preferred.
