About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing excellent service to our customers while ensuring that our kitchen operations run smoothly. You will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and support the culinary team in delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, cooking, and plating dishes.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas by sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
- Support the serving staff by bussing tables and ensuring that dining areas are tidy and welcoming for guests.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Utilize POS systems for order entry and tracking as needed.
- Engage with customers to provide assistance and ensure satisfaction with their dining experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen operations is a plus.
- Experience using OpenTable or similar reservation systems is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting are essential.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety practices is required.
