About the position

As a Food Server at Zeffer's Cafe, you will play a crucial role in creating a fun and memorable dining experience for our guests. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional service while ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and valued. You will be responsible for greeting guests warmly, explaining the menu, and guiding them through their dining experience. Your ability to make personal recommendations and provide timely service will be key to your success in this role. You will also be expected to maintain the cleanliness and organization of your work area, ensuring compliance with health codes at all times. In addition to serving food and beverages, you will be responsible for accurately inputting orders into the POS system, handling cash transactions, and performing opening and closing side work. Your passion for hospitality and teamwork will be essential, as you will need to support your fellow team members and contribute to a positive work environment. You will also have the opportunity to upsell menu items and showcase your extensive knowledge of our offerings, including coffee and espresso drinks. This position requires a proactive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. You will need to demonstrate exceptional communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a dedication to providing outstanding guest service. Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests warmly

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to obtain a valid Nevada Alcohol Awareness Card and Nevada Food Handler Safety Training Card
  • Prefer 1-3 years of experience in a high volume restaurant
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Dedicated and willing to go above and beyond
  • Exceptional communication skills and articulation
  • Ability to multitask and take initiative in a guest service focused environment
  • Must be able to stand or walk a minimum of eight-hour shift
