About the position

Responsibilities

  • Perform cashier duties, including accurately ringing up customers and processing various forms of payment.
  • Answer questions about food items offered and assist customers with their selections.
  • Prepare food items while adhering to safe and sanitary food handling practices.
  • Replenish supplies and food items as needed.
  • Clean surface areas, dispose of trash, and maintain a tidy work environment.
  • Receive and unload stock deliveries.
  • Handle general housekeeping duties to ensure a clean store.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Obtain and maintain all required food and age-restricted product certifications within 2 weeks of employment.
  • Assist with store operations, including lotto, alcohol, and tobacco sales, as well as fuel attendant duties.
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service consistently.
  • Arrive on time for all assigned shifts, in uniform and ready to work.
  • Act as a positive team player, contributing to a collaborative work environment.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales, food service, and handling cash preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic math accurately.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work various shifts as scheduled and arrive on time.
  • Ability to work with equipment, tools, and materials as required.
