About the position

As the Food Service Director (Culinary Services Coordinator), you oversee day to day activities and personnel within the Dietary department for the facility. Supervises Cook(s) and Food Service Assistants providing necessary direction and creating assigned schedules to successfully deliver overall services from the department. Because you are always in contact with residents and families, and to guarantee their satisfaction, this position requires tact, sensitivity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day to day activities within the Dietary department.
  • Supervise Cook(s) and Food Service Assistants.
  • Create assigned schedules for staff to ensure successful service delivery.
  • Maintain contact with residents and families to ensure satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner
  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements
