About the position

As the Food Service Director (Culinary Services Coordinator) you oversee day to day activities and personnel within the Dietary department for the facility. Supervises Cook(s) and Food Service Assistants providing necessary direction and creating assigned schedules to successfully deliver overall services from the department. Because you are always in contact with residents and families, and to guarantee their satisfaction, this position requires tact, sensitivity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day to day activities and personnel within the Dietary department.
  • Supervise Cook(s) and Food Service Assistants.
  • Provide necessary direction and create assigned schedules for the department.
  • Ensure resident and family satisfaction through effective communication.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Previous food service experience preferred.
  • Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.
