About The Position

The Food Service Director is responsible for overseeing the food service operations within a healthcare setting. This role involves managing food production and service, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and leading a team of food service personnel. The director will also be responsible for maintaining quality standards in food service, managing budgets, and promoting the food service program to residents and clients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality preferred.
• Current ServSafe certification required or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Certified Dietary Manager or Certified Food Service Manager designation required.
• Two years' experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision desired.
• General knowledge and understanding of nutrition.
• Ability to read and understand nutrient analysis reports.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Specialized training in foodservice management and nutrition is desirable.
• Five years of food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities
