About the position

The Food Service Director at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is responsible for overseeing all food service operations, ensuring compliance with Aramark Healthcare+ standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing staff, maintaining effective client relationships, and driving operational performance to enhance patient and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Delivers strong operational performance by executing against Aramark Healthcare+ and regulatory agency standards and programs.
• Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
• Coordinates and supervises unit personnel regarding production, merchandising, quality and cost control, labor management and employee training.
• Recruits, hires, develops and retains front line team.
• Interacts with Client Management and maintains effective client and customer relations at all levels of client organization.
• Identifies Aramark service expansion opportunities.
• Provides overall direction and manages performance for all Food Service Managers, Supervisors and front line employees.
• Directs, staffs, and trains food service department regarding food presentation, quality, cost control, and cash handling.
• Develops operational component forecasts and explains variances.
• Ensures compliance with all contract obligations.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in food service.
• 1-3 years of experience in a Food Service Director role.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills, financial acumen and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective client and customer rapport.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard model.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other departments.
• Healthcare experience required.
