About the position

The Food Service General Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a company account within Compass Group USA. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a focus on customer service and food quality. The General Manager will manage P&L, budgeting, HR functions, and maintain relationships with clients and customers while working closely with the culinary team to deliver top-quality food and service.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the account
• Manages overall day-to-day operations of the account
• Conducts HR functions including hiring, progressive counseling, and terminations
• Oversees scheduling, payroll, and team training
• Maintains excellent relationships with customers, guests, and clients as well as other departments
• Works with the Chef and management team in creating menus and providing top-quality food
• Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Culinary preferred
• Five years of foodservice operation experience
• High volume production and catering experience is essential
• Previous experience managing a budget
• Strong team leadership and client relations skills
