About the position

The Food Service Leader position at Great Circle Catering involves managing food operations at various kiosks, ensuring high-quality food service, and leading a team in a fast-paced environment. This full-time role requires a high-energy individual who enjoys working collaboratively and is committed to providing excellent customer service while adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests in a friendly manner to make them feel welcomed and appreciated.
  • Manage food stock levels, food costs, and waste, preparation, presentation, and food safety requirements for hot and cold prepared food and beverage items.
  • Provide training, feedback, coaching, and direction to fellow team members on food preparation and food safety requirements.
  • Maintain proper stock levels (ordering) and proper rotation of all food products.
  • Ability to work Front of House and Back of House roles.
  • Guide other team members in food safety measures and presentation to ensure that guests receive the highest quality food items in a timely manner.
  • Provide information to customers on products being offered.
  • Be sensitive to dietary restrictions, allergies, and special needs.
  • Take orders in a prompt manner and ensure a steady flow of service.
  • Maximize sales by offering suggestions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of work areas.
  • Opening and closing responsibilities.
  • Follow proper cash register procedures.
  • Assist with food prep when needed.
  • Take daily inventory.
  • Accurately complete a product requisition for the next shift.
  • Schedule kiosk staff.
  • Promptly report any issues with equipment, facilities, or products to the Director of Operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Previous cash handling experience.
  • Previous food service experience.
  • ServeSafe certification, or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Experience with point of sale systems (Square).
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
