About the position
The Food Service Manager is responsible for overseeing dining operations, developing and implementing dining solutions to meet customer needs, and ensuring safety and sanitation standards. This management role involves leading a team, maintaining financial performance, and fostering client relationships to deliver quality food service.
Responsibilities
- Engage and develop team members using Aramark's coaching model
- Reward and recognize employees for their performance
- Ensure team performance meets objectives and client expectations
- Plan and lead daily team briefings
- Maintain safety and sanitation standards in all operations
- Identify client needs and communicate operational progress
- Complete and maintain P&L statements
- Deliver client and company financial targets
- Educate teams on performance metrics and cost control
- Ensure efficient operations and profit management
- Supervise team regarding production, quality, and control
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees
- Plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in food service management
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively with other departments
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
