About the position

The Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) Department at Dartmouth-Hitchcock is dedicated to providing a nutritional environment that supports healthy diets and aligns with the organization's commitment to improving health and wellness. The department serves approximately 3,000 customers on weekdays and 450 on weekends across two retail areas. Various positions are available, focusing on food production, patient meal delivery, and sanitation, in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. A sign-on retention bonus is offered for both part-time and full-time roles, with specific conditions for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, assemble, serve, and deliver food.
• Perform cleaning and sanitizing activities.
• Operate dishwasher or cleaning equipment.
• Assemble and clean patient trays (Tray Line position).
• Deliver and pick-up patient trays (Host position).
• Assist patients in selecting meal choices (Dietetic Aide).
• Perform cashiering duties for employees, visitors, and staff (Food Service Cashier).
• Ensure timely and correct meal delivery to patients.

Requirements

• One to two years of high school education; high school graduate preferred.
• Ability to read and write required.
• Prior satisfactory work experience is desired.
