About the position

The Food Service Supervisor role at Aramark is a full-time position focused on leading and coordinating food service operations. The supervisor will oversee staff, ensure food safety and quality, maintain inventory, and promote teamwork and employee growth. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets.
• Direct daily activities and maintain food production safety and quality.
• Ensure food items are stored safely and in an organized manner.
• Maintain serving schedules and ensure food is served per menu specifications.
• Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes.
• Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis and prepare orders as needed.
• Supervise and evaluate employees, promoting growth and teamwork.
• Maintain a safe working environment and train/mentor food service workers.
• Maintain logs on equipment maintenance and ensure food safety logs are completed.
• Perform preventative maintenance checklist and recommend equipment replacements.
• Fill in for absent employees as necessary and maintain knowledge of catering events.
• Attend food service meetings and maintain communication with staff.
• Perform cashier duties as needed and promote good public relations.

Requirements

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
• Must complete a sanitation course within the first year.
• Knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and maintain emotional control under stress.
• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations and possess strong organizational skills.
