About The Position

The Food Service Supervisor at Sutter Health is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Food Production area, ensuring effective service delivery and compliance with standards and regulations. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating food service operations while implementing cost-saving measures and best practices. The supervisor will also collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and enhance service quality, spending less than 50% of their time performing the duties of supervised staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • SS-Serve Save Certification within 60 days of hire.
  • CDM - Certified Dietary Manager within 2 years of hire.
  • 5 years of recent relevant experience in food service.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated knowledge of food service and food production processes.
  • Experience in catering service, menu planning, and scheduling.
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal laws related to food services.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide operational leadership in food service functions.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations related to food production.
  • Establish protocols and practices to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
