About the position

The Food Service Supervisor role at Aramark is a full-time position focused on leading and coordinating food service operations. This position involves overseeing staff, ensuring food safety and quality, maintaining inventory, and promoting employee growth and teamwork. The supervisor will work closely with a manager to ensure efficient operations and a positive work environment while also engaging in direct communication with staff and managing daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets.
• Direct daily activities and maintain food production safety and quality.
• Ensure food items are stored safely and in an organized manner.
• Maintain serving schedules and ensure food is served per menu specifications.
• Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes.
• Maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis.
• Prepare orders as needed for accurate production.
• Supervise and evaluate employees, promoting growth and teamwork.
• Maintain a safe working environment and train/mentor food service workers.
• Maintain logs on equipment maintenance and food safety/temperature logs.
• Perform preventative maintenance checklist and recommend equipment replacements.
• Fill in for absent employees as necessary and maintain knowledge of catering events.
• Attend food service meetings and maintain communication with staff.
• Perform cashier duties as needed and promote good public relations.

Requirements

• Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
• Must complete a sanitation course within the first year.
• Knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and maintain emotional control under stress.
• Ability to resolve interpersonal situations and possess strong organizational skills.
