About the position

The Food Service Support position at Buehler's Fresh Foods is a part-time role within the Food Service Department, focused on enhancing customer experiences in both the store and restaurant settings. This role involves a variety of tasks that support restaurant operations, ensuring cleanliness, compliance with health standards, and providing exceptional service to customers. The position requires flexibility and teamwork to meet the demands of the business, including off-site catering events.

Responsibilities

• Buss tables to ensure they are cleaned promptly after customers leave
• Greet and seat guests when needed
• Assist with mentoring new employees
• Ensure the dining room is spotless, including tables, floors, and walls
• Comply with sanitation requirements and health standards in the dining area
• Wash all dirty dishes and put them away in their assigned areas
• Put away daily deliveries in the food prep area
• Maintain a clean area in the back of house and assist with cleaning as needed
• Comply with sanitation requirements and health standards in the food prep area

Requirements

• Minimum age of 16 years
• Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs, and occasionally 80 lbs
• Manual dexterity and auditory and visual skills
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures
• Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with equipment such as ovens, stoves, dishwashers, and mixers
