The Food Service Worker/Cashier position at Compass Group involves performing cashiering duties and general food service work in a school environment. Responsibilities

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Store foods in designated areas following food safety and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality and portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a service-oriented manner.
• Relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Perform sales transactions and enter sales into the cash register accurately.
• Make change, accept various forms of payment, and issue receipts to customers.
• Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
• Responsible for assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring compliance with overage/shortage standards.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness in the service area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous cooking and cashier experience is required.
