About the position

The Food Service Worker at Challenge Unlimited Inc. plays a vital role in providing food service support in an inclusive environment for individuals with disabilities. This position focuses on maintaining cleanliness, preparing food service areas, and ensuring high standards of safety and customer service while working collaboratively with integrated teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve portions of food on trays and/or plates, maintaining cleanliness and product standards.
• Prepare the dining and serving areas by setting up.
• Assist in storing items, preparing the salad bar, and cutting up vegetables.
• Clean and sanitize the food service line, equipment, and dining room.
• Sweep and mop the food service lines and dining room.
• Clean spills immediately and follow all sanitization guidelines.
• Assist with performing daily, weekly, and/or monthly deep cleaning of the kitchen and service area as assigned.
• Help set up/tear down service area chairs and tables as needed.
• Communicate job expectations to new-hires or others in need of assistance.
• Report issues and needs to the Project Manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
