About the position

The Food Service Worker plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation and serving of food within the Jefferson Independent School District. This part-time position requires adherence to health and safety standards while maintaining high-quality food production and accurate reporting of daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food is produced safely and meets high-quality standards according to policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate reports of daily and monthly financial, production, and activity records.
• Submit accurate information for payroll reporting, including time cards, tardiness, and absenteeism.
• Store food items in a safe and hazard-free environment.
• Enforce cleanliness, health, and safety standards following health codes and regulations.
• Maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Food service certification.
• Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and appliances used in food preparation.
• Effective planning and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform basic math and read and follow instructions.
